DIY EVA Foam Hat

The foam is thick enough to hold its shape while still being easy to cut with scissors. I was able to customize the hat for a themed party in under an hour.

I used this foam hat base for a costume party and it held its shape perfectly while I glued on decorations. The assorted colors meant I could pick the exact shade I needed for my design.

The EVA foam is surprisingly sturdy yet easy to cut cleanly, so shaping the brim took no time at all. I’ve already made two different styles from one sheet, and the edges hold their curve perfectly.
