DIY EVA Foam Hat

I used this foam hat base for a costume party and it held its shape perfectly while I glued on decorations. The assorted colors meant I could pick the exact shade I needed for my design.

The EVA foam is surprisingly sturdy yet easy to cut cleanly, so shaping the brim took no time at all. I’ve already made two different styles from one sheet, and the edges hold their curve perfectly.

The foam cut cleanly with an X-Acto knife, which made shaping the hat a breeze. I just wish it came in more color options rather than the random assortment, but it’s decent for the price.
