How to Clean a Humidifier with Colour-Changing Night Light

Quick Answer

To clean your USB-powered humidifier with colour-changing night light, unplug it, disassemble the tank and base, and wipe all surfaces with a soft cloth and mild soap. Rinse thoroughly and air-dry before reassembling.

Step-by-step cleaning routine

1. Unplug and disassemble: Unplug the humidifier from the USB port and separate the water tank from the base. Empty any remaining water. Never clean while it's plugged in.
2. Wipe the tank and base: Use a soft, damp cloth with a drop of mild dish soap to wipe the inside of the tank and the base. Avoid submerging the base or getting water near the night light. Don't use abrasive scrubbers—they can scratch the plastic.
3. Rinse and dry: Rinse the tank with clean water, then shake out excess. Let all parts air-dry completely before reassembling. Moisture left inside can cause mold to return quickly.
4. Reassemble and test: Once dry, put the tank back on the base, fill with fresh water, and plug in. Turn it on briefly to confirm the mist and night light work. If the light flickers, check that the connection is dry.
