Learn how to pick the perfect personalized ceramic mug for any occasion. Compare sizes, printing options, and practical trade-offs to make a thoughtful gift.
Quick answer
For a gift that feels personal and useful, choose a ceramic mug with name printing. The 350ml size works for most adults, while the 177ml is perfect for children or small servings.
Size matters: 350ml vs 177ml
The 350ml mug is a standard coffee or tea mug size, suitable for daily use at home or in the office. Its larger capacity means it can hold a full serving of hot beverage without needing a refill.
The 177ml mug is more compact, ideal for small portions like espresso, juice, or a child's drink. Its smaller size also makes it a cute keepsake or desk accessory.
Printing considerations
Both mugs include full-color name printing in the price, so you don't need to worry about extra costs. The white exterior provides a clean canvas that makes any name or design stand out.
Think about the recipient's taste: a simple name in a classic font works for everyone, while a playful design with icons or colors suits a fun personality.
Practical trade-offs
Ceramic mugs are microwave and dishwasher safe, but hand washing is recommended to preserve the print longevity. The 350ml mug is heavier and more substantial, while the 177ml is lighter and easier to handle for small hands.
If the gift is for a coffee lover, the 350ml is the better choice. For a child or someone who prefers small drinks, the 177ml is more appropriate.
How to decide
- Recipient's age and usage: Choose the 350ml mug for adults who drink coffee or tea regularly. Choose the 177ml mug for children or for occasional small drinks.
- Printing personalization: Both mugs include full-color name printing. Decide on a font and design that matches the recipient's style—simple and classic or playful and colorful. Check that the name or design fits within the print area; the 177ml mug has a smaller canvas.
- Gift occasion: For a birthday, holiday, or thank-you gift, the 350ml mug is a safe and useful choice. For a baby shower, child's birthday, or as a desk accessory, the 177ml mug is more fitting.
