DIY Colouring Windmill

The windmill blades are thick enough to hold up to a toddler's enthusiastic coloring, and snapping the pieces together was simple enough for my six-year-old to do mostly on her own.

My five-year-old had so much fun coloring the wooden blades and then clicking them into place, and the whole thing spins nicely in a light breeze. It kept her busy for a good hour and looks cheerful on the windowsill.

The blades are printed on sturdy cardstock, and I love that you can colour them any way you want before snapping the whole thing together. My 6-year-old needed a bit of help with the centre pin, but once it was assembled, the windmill spun nicely in our backyard breeze.
